Anyway, I got two types of peas planted (Purple Podded and Lincoln), collards, some broccoli, and lots of lettuce (some of it planted between pea plants). I would have planted a few other things (I have kohlrabi and cabbage ready to go, for example), but it started raining. No matter; that just saved me the trouble of watering in the new plants.

While I was out there, I also noticed the onion bulbs I planted in February are already pushing up green tops.
Have you planted anything yet? How does your garden grow?

I love to see little sprouts stretching their leaves above the earth. This is what's up around here: cabbage, onion, green beans, potatoes, strawberries, and tomatoes.
ReplyDeleteMy winter sowings have been buried in snow for a few weeks. I'm afraid they're not going to ever sprout.
ReplyDeleteLoretta, sounds wonderful! Teekaroo, have faith! As long as you chose seeds that don't mind some cold, they WILL come up! God gave each seed the know how to sprout on it's own!
